Aboard the “TAONABA” Solar Electric Catamaran
Discover the Grand Cul de Sac Marin and its three unique ecosystems in the Lesser Antilles: the Barrier Reef, the Lagoon and the Mangrove.
Program of the day :
– Meet at 7:45 at the port of Sainte Rose. Boarding aboard the “TAONABA“, information on the day’s programme and safety instructions.
Vessel with Electric propulsion, therefore it is Clean and very Quiet, for a better respect of the environment of the fauna and flora of the Grand Cul de Sac Marin of Guadeloupe.
– Departure at 8:00
First step the Caret Islet in the lagoon. Information about the fauna and flora of the marine reserve of Grand Cul de Sac Marin is provided during the navigation.
Arrival at Caret: Provision of fins, masks and snorkels for a little snorkeling around the islet in the lagoon.
Second step the coral reef located in the Marine National Park for a new palm trekking, supervised by a professional in order to discover a multitude of multicoloured fishes.
Third step the star pool located in the lagoon, where you can admire the starfish “Cushion” before an aperitif followed by a well deserved lunch.
Fourth step fourth mangrove stage. At the end of the meal, you will sail to small mangrove islands where you will disembark to discover how this unique tree can live and reproduce in a salty environment. You will also be able to snorkel in the seagrass beds around the mangrove islands.
Fifth and final step lthe bird island located in the mangrove.
You will observe several species of sea birds : herons, egrets, frigate birds, pelicans with binoculars at your disposal.
Return expected around 16:00.

Rates:
70€/adult et 40€/child (-12 years old).
A tax of 1€/person is to be paid separately for the Guadeloupe National Park. This tax is used to finance the protection of these natural areas.
Included: the loan of flippers, mask and snorkel for snorkeling, lunch and drinks.
Payment on site by cheque, holiday voucher or cash.
